The basic seismic crosshole source equipment consists of the electric surge generator IPG and the remote control unit RCU controlling the surge generator together with a downhole cable ending in a common source adapter CSA. Various seismic sparker sources can be connected to the CSA. Triggering of the seismic acquisition system is performed by the remote unit.
The basic seismic crosshole source equipment comes with a P-wave downhole probe SBS42.
