The newly developed electrodynamic source for the generation of SH- and P-waves in boreholes with a depth down to 60 m is based on the well approved electric surge generator IPG known from our sparker products.

The handy downhole probe works in dry and water filled boreholes. It can be rotated using a single pipe string containing all supply cables. Mechanical coupling to the borehole wall is achieved by a pneumatic clamping system.
